# Topo d'Arcenant

## Un peu d'histoire
### Arcenant : dhier à aujourdhui
**1986** : Jean-Luc Deriaz, grimpeur dijonnais, ouvre les premières voies
du site : au tamponnoir, il équipe quelques itinéraires dans le premier
secteur (« Marsupilami », « Un chien vaut mieux… »). François
Tournois, franc comtois et dijonnais dadoption saventure, lui, dans le
secteur « Trou du duc » en ouvrant la splendide « Tranxène 2 le
matin ».
**1987** : Après avoir répété ces voies, je me lance à mon tour dans
louverture sur ce site. Jinstalle deux spits dans une dalle qui sera
terminée par Thomas Boisgard des années plus tard ! (et qui deviendra
« Pari gagné »). « Alligator 427 » va naître quelque temps après…
Lidée dexplorer dautres parties de la falaise germe. Je ne suis pas le
seul car un soir, je rencontre sur le plateau LE guide dijonnais, Eric
Alexandre, qui pressent quil y a un vrai potentiel avec cette falaise !
Cest sans doute à lautomne 1987 que jéquipe les premières voies du
secteur 8 : « Coupe franche » est la première, suivie de « Vol au vent ».
1988 : Les amis de Bouilland (Macou, René, Jean-Baptiste) me
rejoignent pour ouvrir leurs voies. Il est clair que cest à cette période
que vont naître les plus beaux itinéraires.
On grimpe beaucoup à Arcenant dans les années 90/2000 : cest une
superbe falaise dhiver ; de nouvelles voies sont créées régulièrement,
par les uns et les autres.
Ici, comme dans tout le pays beaunois, il ny a jamais eu de « plan
déquipement ». On néquipe pas une falaise, on ouvre les voies qui
nous plaisent ! La nuance est de taille…
Fin des années 2000, on fréquente moins le site : une fois ou deux dans
lhiver…
**2012** : Je crée le blog « escalade en pays beaunois », avec lobjectif de
présenter toutes les voies que nous avons ouvertes dans la région. Si on
attire des grimpeurs dans nos voies, il faut leur proposer un
équipement sécurite. Avec Macou puis Thomas, on commence donc à
rééquiper les moulinettes (à Arcenant, mais aussi Bouilland), en les
dotant de chaînes. On en profite aussi pour ouvrir de nouvelles voies,
surtout dans les secteurs « Génération Edlinger » et « Trou du duc », où
de nombreux itinéraires « abordables » existent…
Thomas se charge aussi de laménagement des accès, le site reprend
vie !
**2017** : Aujourdhui, il y a 158 voies à Arcenant, situées sur 11 secteurs.
